What is an Endowment Fund?

An endowment fund functions as a permanent savings account to support specific causes. The money you donate is never spent, it is kept and invested. Each quarter, only the income from this amount is used to help the projects. Thus, a single donation continues to generate returns forever.

About Mater Providentiae

Mater Providentiae is a non-profit endowment fund dedicated to supporting the evangelization, formation, and charitable works of the Holy Roman Catholic Apostolic Church through continuous and perpetual donations.

Our purpose is to transform every act of generosity from any benefactor into a perpetual legacy, through a tool that was previously used only by large institutions and ultra-wealthy families, now placed at the service of the mission of the Holy Church and the salvation of souls.

Mater Providentiae is not linked to any specific ecclesial movement or institution; it is an initiative created by devout lay people who, inspired by filial trust in the Mother of Providence, seek to unite charity and love for the Church in a lasting work oriented towards building the Kingdom of God and His Blessed Mother.

How it all began

The origin of the Mater Providentiae Fund is deeply linked to the concrete experience of Divine Providence in the lives of its founders. Between 2023 and 2025, they faced a period of great trials, spending two years without income, knocking on more than a thousand doors seeking opportunities, and resorting daily to prayer and asking God for a true financial miracle. It was a time of uncertainty, hardship, and renunciation, but also a period in which they experienced God's loving care in unexpected and constant ways.

Amidst these difficulties, at the end of 2024, an inspiration arose before the Blessed Sacrament: to create an endowment fund that could be an instrument of Divine Providence, even though at that moment there were no material means to begin. The idea remained guarded in prayer, and only began at the end of 2025, when the founders finally found work. After praying the Novena to Our Lady of Providence, celebrated on November 19th, and with the first income from their jobs, they decided not to wait for "ideal resources," took a leap of faith, and started the fund with a symbolic donation of R$100. It was little compared to the magnitude of the mission, but it was a concrete step to begin.

From that simple gesture, Mater Providentiae began to take shape. Currently, the fund is in the process of legal formalization, being structured with prudence, transparency, and responsibility, so that it can become a solid and lasting work at the service of the Church, always entrusted to the protection of the Mother of Providence, our patroness and intercessor.

Sacramental Life and
Loyalty to the Church

Daily sacramental life sustains our mission. We seek total fidelity to the Church, living and promoting the faith in obedience to the Holy Pope.

Charity and
Evangelization

Charity drives every action and gesture of the fund. We want to strengthen evangelization and support works that lead to the salvation of souls for God.

Prudence and
Transparency

We manage each resource prudently and transparently, ensuring that every donation yields secure and lasting results.

Magnanimity and
Perpetuity

We are inspired by God's greatness and His eternal vision. Each offering becomes a perpetual legacy for the good of the Church and future generations.

Marian Spirituality

The spirituality of Mater Providentiae stems from trust in Jesus and Our Lady, the Mother of Divine Providence, who have inspired and accompanied this work from the beginning. Therefore, we also encourage a simple yet profound experience of this devotion through the Chaplet of Divine Providence, which reminds us that God provides for and cares for all who call upon Him.

Beginning of the Divine Providence Chaplet:

The Sign of the Cross and the Creed are recited.
On the large beads of the Chaplet:
"Mother of Divine Providence, provide!"
In small beads:
"God provides, God will provide, His mercy will not fail!"

Final prayer: “Come, Mary, the moment has arrived. Help us now and at all times. Mother of Divine Providence, grant us aid in the suffering of the earth and in exile. Show that you are a Mother of Love and Kindness, now that the need is great. Amen.”

Cruz Branca Brilhante

"My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name. He has mercy on those who fear him in every generation. He has shown the strength of his arm, he has scattered the proud in their conceit. He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, and has lifted up the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has come to the help of his servant Israel for he has remembered his promise of mercy, the promise he made to our fathers, to Abraham and his children for ever. Amen."
